Betty Get Better

Foundation Mascot

Betty Get Better is the official mascot of Gold Coast Hospital Foundation. With her teal-coloured scrubs and vibrant red hair, Betty Get Better tours the hospital wards with a stethoscope in hand to cheer up sick children and adults. She hands out inspiring high fives here and a warm hug there to brighten the spirits of patients and families during times of medical hardship.

Our medical mascot was named one of the Gold Coast’s greatest mascots by the Gold Coast Bulletin in 2019. Coming in at number three, Betty Get Better was recognised for having one of the most important jobs in the mascot community – being the face of Gold Coast Hospital Foundation and making unwell patients feel better. Betty was officially unveiled to the Gold Coast in November 2017 after being named by a local nurse.
